Samuel Cornelius Phillips (5 de enero de 1923 - 30 de junio de 2003), más conocido como Sam Phillips, fue un hombre de negocios americano, locutor, técnico radiofónico y productor musical fundador de sellos discográficos y DJ ha tenido una gran importancia en el nacimiento del Rock and Roll. Fundó el sello Sun Records en Memphis, Tennessee. A través de la Sun, Phillips descubrió grandes talentos de la Música como Howlin' Wolf, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley y Johnny Cash
Samuel Cornelius Phillips (January 5, 1923 – July 30, 2003), better known as Sam Phillips, was an American businessman, record executive, record producer and DJ who played an important role in the emergence of Rock and Roll. He was a producer, label owner, and talent scout throughout the '40s and '50s. He most notably founded Sun Studios and Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee.
