Eddie tocaba nuestro piano, siempre algo nuevo en lo que estaba trabajando. El tío Bob y mi padre cantaban y tocaban la guitarra. Mi madre le preparaba su plato favorito...Enchiladas.
A: Eddie Cochran nació en Albert Lea, Minnesota, se suele decir que nació en Oklahoma, ¿por qué?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy:Eddie nació en Albert Lea, pero nuestra familia era de Okalahoma city.
A: ¿Por qué Eddie dejó el Rockabilly y se metió de lleno en el Rock & Roll?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Él era muy inteligente. Quería aprender sobre cualquier estilo de música. Quería abarcarlo todo.
A: A Eddie le gustaba Chet Atkins, ¿hay algún otro artista que le sirviera de inspiración?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Ray Charles era un gran artista con mucho talento, al que Eddie admiraba. Le encantaba el Blues, el Country, todos los estilos de Música.
A: ¿Qué pensaba Eddie sobre Gene Vincent y cómo era la relación entre ambos?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Gene y Eddie eran grandes amigos. Mi tío era amable, respetuoso y un fiel amigo. Tenía un gran corazón. Era también muy amigo de Ritchie Valens y de Buddy Holly.
A: ¿Cuál es tu canción favorita de Eddie?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Mi canción favorita, es dificil de decir,... La primera creo que sería Nervous Breakdown, me encanta la historia de cómo ha sido escrita. En segundo lugar Halleluyah I Love Her So by Ray Charles. La tercera Three Steps to Heaven. Y podría continuar...
A: ¿Crees que Eddie tendría también éxito en los años 60?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: A mi tío Eddie le gustaba mucho la música de estudio y tenía muchos conocimientos sobre producción. Mi padre me decía que esa era su pasión. Si, creo que él iría más bien en esa dirección. Siempre y cuando él hiciera lo que le gustaba, siempre tendría éxito.
A: ¿Hubiera podido adaptarse a cualquier estilo de música actual o continuaría haciendo lo mismo?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Pienso lo mismo que dije antes, pero quién puede predecir cómo hubiera sido el futuro. Puede que Eddie no esté con nosotros, pero en cierta medida sigue entre nosotros. Y continúa siendo un cantante con éxito. Sé que nos está mirando a todos/as nosotros/as y sonriendo, "Don´t Forget Me".

A: Hello Robin, thank you for this interview, you are an Eddie relative, Eddie´s niece, right?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: I am Eddie Cochran's Niece. My Dad, Bill is Eddie's older brother.
A: Have you met Eddie? How was your relation with him? Do you have any memory with Eddie you want to share with us?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: I was 7 when he died. I remember him coming over. It was always a big family get-together. He would play our piano, something new he was working on. Uncle Bob and my Dad would sing and play guitar. My Mom would make him his favorite dish... Enchilada's.
A: Eddie Cochran was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, it is said that he was born in Oklahoma, why?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: He was born in Albert Lea, but our family was originally from Okalahoma city.
A: Why did Eddie left Rockabilly and dived head first into Rock and Roll?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: He was very smart. He wanted to learn all aspects of music. He wanted to do it all.
A: Eddie liked Chet Atkins, was there any other artists that inspired him?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Ray Charles was an talented artist that he admired. He loved the blues, country, all kinds of music.
A: What did Eddie think about Gene Vincent and how was the relation between them?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: Gene and Eddie were great friends. My Uncle was a kind, respectful and loyal friend. He had lots of heart. He was great friends with Richie Valens and Buddy Holly too.
A: What is your favourite song by Eddie?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: My favorite song is tough, Well 1st would have to be Nervous Breakdown. I love the story of how it was written. 2nd, I love Hallaluah, I love her so (ray charles). 3rd, Three steps to heaven too. I could go on.
A: Do you think Eddie would be successful in the 60's?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: My Uncle was very much a studio musician and had a great knowledge of producing. My dad has told me that that was his passion. Yes, I think he would have gone in that direction. As long as he was doing what he loved, he would always be successful.
A: Could have adapted to whatever style of music of nowadays? Or would have kept doing what he were doing?
Robin Cochran-Kennedy: I think my answer to this one is in the last one. But who can really predict what his future would have been. He may not be with us, but in the same note he is with us. And is successful. I know he is looking down at all of us and smiling, "Don't forget Me".
