June 1957 : Gene signed a new managing contract with the Artist Service Bureau from Dallas, directed by Ed McLemore. Larry Thacker was made personal manager. Gene also sang at the Ozark Jubilee in Springfield with Red Foley. Then he went back to the hospital to have a steel splint put on his wounded leg.
